How to renovate prestige homes?
Are you trying to improve on perfection?
Today we’ve got something for the luxury homeowners that are planning to renovate their prestige homes in Sydney.
What would you add to a home that has everything? Getting into Sydney’s prestige property market gives you a home that, theoretically, has everything a family needs to live comfortably for decades. Great facilities, huge gardens, the best fittings and classic furniture that never go out of fashion.
But if you want to increase your equity or make an addition to your luxury home, what would you do? Judging by Australia’s Housing Industry Association data, we spend over $30 billion a year on renovating.
Bring the indoors out
One thing we see a lot of in Sydney’s luxury property market is expanding living areas beyond the four walls of a home. Building a new deck has recently been a quite popular way of opening up your indoor areas to the garden. Also, installing large sliding doors, pergolas or dining and viewing facilities sounds like a great idea.
Floor planning
One thing that turns your home from great to exceptional is being thoughtful with floorplanning. In luxury markets, you deserve something a little better than square box design. Some sort of renovation to change the flow of your home could work wonders for its value.
Top market technology
Is your prestige home a smart one too? Can you control the blinds, temperature and lighting with a single button, or do it from your smartphone? Home automation lets you do all of this and more. Connect to the line sound systems, make your coffee and watch the news on a video screen, all while you’re getting ready to work.
Overall costs will depend on the size of your home and the amount of control you want to add. There is only one drawback to installing automated systems in your home, and that’s having to download a few more apps to your phone.
The changes we mentioned above are just the beginning. When you buy or build a prestige house in Sydney, you’re opening up a world of possibilities and the best lifestyle in the city. Just because your home seems at its best right now, that doesn’t mean you can’t improve on it.
